Essay by Narada Jangmook
Being
a student in a different country that you’re not
used too, it’s very difficult. One thing that made
me fit in is how helpful I am. I helped my school by doing
community service and joining different clubs, my church
I’m active in the different activities and I am
also helpful at home.
I
go to Pasadena High School for three years, and in the
three years I joined Asian-club, Photo-Club and Z-Club
to do community service to help people that need help
and I am also in the Graphic Communication Academy (GCA),
I helped my friends when they have problem that they can’t
do. For example I help my fellow class mates when they
don’t know how to use the program that I do. I also
helps clean up the class room when is not organize. And
I also got a chance to help out at the library for community
service.
Church
is my second place that I’m helpful and feel comfortable
with. I have a chance to do a lot of stuff for church,
like helping by cleaning up the church, washing dishes
because they serve lunch. In the morning I helped take
care of the Sunday school kids, and I lead activity for
the youth group. When the service is on I also be an usher
or sometime play musician.
Back
then, when I was with my parent I used to baby sit my
own brother, wash dishes, and cleaned up the house like
other kids, but now that I’m not with them. I became
a big sister for my guardian’s family and from my
helpfulness at church. It is easy for me to deal with
kids. Like sometime I teach them homework and baby sit
them.
I learned
a lot of things from my helpful. I learned how to deal with
different type of people and what're their needs. Like people
at school; my friends and my class mates, people at church;
little kids and youth, and also how to be organize with
books and others stuff in the library. So from my helpful
is a good experience for me.
